Exec: Gazprom maintains plan for gas exports, prices in 2021

MOSCOW, May 20 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom has maintained its forecast for natural gas exports and export prices in 2021, Yelena Burmistrova, CEO of the company’s export arm Gazprom Export, said in a news conference on Thursday.

“We don’t expect the price to fall any time soon… Regarding the volumes… we disclosed the range from 175 billion cubic meters to 183 billion cubic meters of gas in 2021, and the figure remains the same right now,” she said.

The volume of gas in European underground gas storages is falling, and demand for gas in the region is rising, and this maintains the export price.

“Nevertheless, the previous year taught us many things… I would like to refrain from certain statements about the price we expect right now, as we are to amend our budget later. We will do revaluation when we get closer to the amendment,” she said.
